Last week we shared with you the possibility that our medals might be in jeopardy of not making it to Arkansas in time for our race.  While we and our medal partner met every critical deadline, the ship containing our medals had been anchored at sea since early January due to a massive cargo backup. That ship finally docked late last week, but the container has not cleared customs.  Sadly, our beautiful medals will not be here in time for the race.

That being said, Hasty Award of Ottawa, KS (our medal partner) has created a colorful medal, which finisher’s will be awarded at the finish line.

We anticipate we will have our medal late March. In the weeks come (give us a couple days to unload trucks and get a few hours sleep) we will be contacting you via email with specifics on getting you your well-deserved 2015 medal.

Our first priority is the safety of our participants, volunteers and staff. Unless there is an eminent danger, we will have the race. Cold weather will not stop the race. Rain will not stop the race, unless there is thunder and/or lightning associated with it. Check our website race morning if you think the weather is iffy.
