THE LEGACY OF LOGAN BUSSARD
Logan’s Run is dedicated to the memory and legacy of Logan Bussard.
Logan joined the Little Rock Parks and Recreation team as the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in 2023. Logan was quickly making his mark in the disability community.
He started his career in special education and eventually moved into inclusive and adaptive recreation and ultimately found his way to recreational therapy. He worked closely with the Miracle League in Benton and was a huge supporter of the Arkansas Special Olympics. In his new career as a recreational therapist, Logan had so many plans and ideas for the children and adults in our community. Logan had an innate ability to see through disability and see the possibility. It is our mission to continue Logan’s passion and ideals for the children we serve and to build a legacy in his name. Training with his trusty pup Scout by his side, Logan was an avid runner. He participated in the Little Rock Marathon many times and was a huge fan of this event. One of his goals for the Therapeutic Recreation division was to make a way for children with all abilities to set a goal and be a part of the Little Rock Marathon experience. His purpose was always to help each individual reach their fullest potential. With this program, we honor that purpose and are excited to extend this opportunity to our community.
